Bonus Blackjack is an interesting variation of online blackjack. It is essentially the same as original casino blackjack, but with the addition of a bonus option. It is also distinctive because of its special payouts. Bonus Blackjack allows you to bet on what your first two cards will turn out to be (and only on those cards). It pays out special bonuses for certain two-card combinations.

Examples of some of the unique Bonus Blackjack payouts are as follows: The best two-card combination you can hope for is an Ace of spades plus a Jack of spades. This combination pays 50:1. An Ace and Jack of any other suit pay out 25:1. Any other two cards of the same suit has a payout of 5:2.

The rules of Bonus Blackjack are just about the same as regular blackjack rules,
but with a few special twists thrown in. Bonus Blackjack is an American
hole-card game (which means that one of the dealer's initial cards is dealt face
down). The dealer can peek at his hole card when his up card is a ten, picture
card, or an ace. A Bonus Blackjack game is played with two regular decks, and
the dealer must hit on a soft 17. The player can double down on any two cards
and he can double down after a split. He can also split three times to create
four hands. Any pair of ten-rated cards can be split (not just identical cards).
Aces can be split only once (and a split ace and a 10 is considered a 21, not a
blackjack).

The bonus in Bonus Blackjack is optional (though the bonus
is really the whole point of playing Bonus Blackjack). In order to be entitled
for the bonus, the player must place a bet on the "jackpot" part of the table. The maximum bonus bet is $25. So if, for instance, you make a real-money bet of $25 and you are lucky enough to get a Jack of spades and an Ace of spades, you will win $1,250 (as per the 50:1 payout mentioned above), plus your original bet. Remember, to guarantee a shot at that bonus, you must place your bet on the "jackpot" section of the blackjack table.
