What is 3 Card Poker?
Three card poker is a fun and exciting chance game that can be played over the
Internet. Most of the rules are the same in the video version as in the game
played all over the world in casinos from Las Vegas to Monte Carlo.
The games played on the Internet are becoming more and more popular as people discover they can have fun and even have the chance to win real money by playing online. Three card poker is a simple game to learn to play. In fact, three card poker is actually two separate games in one. You don't necessarily have to have a lot of experience to win and win big playing 3 card poker.
|
In 3 card poker, you can play two separate games, "Pair Plus" and "Ante." In the Pair Plus game, you are simply betting that your three cards will have a winning combination, regardless of what the dealer has. In the Ante game, you are betting that your hand will beat the Dealer's.

The Rules of 3 Card Poker
First decide whether you want to play the Pair Plus game, the Ante game, or both
(combination play). In Pair Plus, first select how much you want to bet by
clicking on the chip indicator button. By doing so, you can raise or lower your
bet. When you click "play", you are dealt three cards. If these three cards are a winning combination, you win instantly. The amount you win will be automatically added to your credit total and you are ready to either cash out or play again.
In the Ante game, you start out by making an Ante bet before the cards are dealt. Then, you will get three cards. If you think your hand will be better than the Dealer's you can place a second "play" bet. The play bet is always equal to the Ante bet. If you do not think you will beat the Dealer, you can fold. When you fold, you lose your Ante bet.
Next you hit "Play." The Dealer's cards are reveled. If the Dealer does not have at least a single Queen, you win. You receive your play bet back and you win double your Ante bet. If the Dealer had at least a single Queen, then your hands are compared. Whomever has the stronger hand is the winner. You win double your Ante bet and double your play bet if your hand is stronger.
Finally, if you have a special Ante bonus hand combination, you win automatically, regardless of the Dealer's hand.

How to Win at Three Card Poker
Pair Plus
In Pair Plus, if you are dealt a three card wining
combination, you are an automatic winner, regardless of the dealer's hand. The
amount you win depends on which winning combination you have. For example, if
you have a Straight Flush (three cards of the same suit in consecutive order),
you will win forty times your bet. That's $400 on a $10 bet. If you are dealt
three cards of the same value, you win thirty times your bet.
If you have a straight (3 cards in consecutive order, regardless of suit), you win six times your bet. If you have three cards of the same suit (a flush) you win four times your bet. Finally, if you have a simple pair plus any other card, you win double your money. Remember you win these payouts regardless of
what the Dealer has.
Ante
The Ante game gets a bit more interesting. In the Ante game, you are actually betting against the dealer. But there's one catch that works in your favor. If the Dealer does not have at least a single queen, he does not qualify and you win twice your Ante bet and get your play bet back. For example, if the Dealer has a four of clubs, a five of diamonds, and an eight of hearts, you win regardless of your hand.
If the Dealer does qualify, then after the cards are dealt, the hands are compared. If your hand is better, you win double both your Ante bet and your play bet. If you bet $10 Ante and $10 play and you have a Three of a Kind while the Dealer has a Straight, you will win $40.
If you are playing the Ante game, you can also win if you are dealt a special bonus combination. The combinations are: Straight Flush, Three of a Kind, and Straight. You win with these hands regardless of what the Dealer has. The amount you win depends on the bonus combination. A straight flush pays five to one in Ante play. A three of a kind pays four to one. A straight pays double.
